NISS DELEGATION PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO THE HIGH COMMISSION

A delegation from the National Institute for Security Studies (NISS) paid a courtesy visit to the Nigerian High Commission today. The 16-member delegation, led by the Director of NISS and Team Leader, Mr. Rafiu Adekunle Bolarinwa, were in India as part of their Official Study Tour to India. Mr. Adeleke Adeniyi Kehinde, Directing Staff, NISS, and Mrs. Yakori Abba Mamman, Protocol of the Team, were also part of the delegation.

The delegation was received by the Chargé d'Affaires, Mr. Ubong Akpan Johnny, who received them warmly to the High Commission. The courtesy call provided an opportunity for the NISS officials to familiarize themselves with the role of the High Commission in strengthening bilateral ties between Nigeria and India, and engage in interactive discussions on trade, governance, and cultural exchange between the two countries. 

In his remarks, the Chargé d'Affaires, Mr. Ubong Akpan Johnny highlighted the collaborative initiatives undertaken by the High Commission and the Republic of India. He also emphasized on driving sustained and collective prosperity between Nigeria and India as well as with countries of countries of concurrent accreditation, namely Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.

The visit concluded with a cordial interaction and networking between the High Commission officials and the NISS delegation.
