Nigeria and Nepal maintain cordial bilateral relations built on foundations of mutual respect and cooperation. Both countries engage through multilateral platforms such as the United Nations, NAM, and G-77 . Diplomatic interactions between both countries have been modest but steady. The Nigerian High Commission in New Delhi holds concurrent accreditation to Nepal, serving as the official channel for diplomatic, consular, and commercial matters. Conversely, Nepal manages diplomatic relations with Nigeria through its Embassy in Cairo, Egypt.

Despite this, sectors such as agriculture, renewable energy, textiles, and healthcare present potential areas for future engagement. Both nations actively participate in initiatives aimed at enhancing South trade and sustainable development.

Nigeria and Nepal share common ground in multilateral diplomacy, especially on global development, peacekeeping, and climate change. Both countries are committed signatories to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and have incorporated the Sustainable Development Goals into their national frameworks.
