NIGERIAN HIGH COMMISSION WELCOMES RARE EARTH MINING PROSPECTS

The Acting High Commissioner of the Nigerian High Commission, Mr. Ubong Akpan Johnny, met with Mr. Monish Bhalla, Managing Director of NSL Mining Resources India Private Limited, to explore opportunities in the mining sector. Discussions focused on possible mining cooperation between Nigeria and India, with Mr. Bhalla sharing that he is open to doing business with Nigeria and is keen on building connections with established industry players in Nigeria's mining sector.

Mr. Bhalla expressed keen interest in Nigeria's rare earth and cultural items, and signaled intent to export them to India. He further suggested the need to create a Nigeria-India Opportunities Fund which will aid in the establishment of specialist hospital, pharmaceutical companies and general healthcare value chain. 

The Acting High Commissioner welcomed the discussion as a reflection of the growing interest in exploring mutually beneficial opportunities between Nigeria and India.
